This is a wood preservative that prevents structural damage and wood decay on exterior above ground wood surfaces such as untreated or previously treated fencing, decking, wood siding, log homes and roofing. Also resists water absorption that causes warping, cracking, rotting, and splitting. Also protects wood from premature loss of color.
NEW WOOD: TO INSURE ADEQUATE PENETRATION, ALLOW NEW WOOD TO WEATHER AT LEAST 6 MONTHS. PRESSURE TREATED WOOD SHOULD WEATHER FOR 1 YEAR.
OLD WOOD: CLEAN WOOD AND EVEN OUT COLOR BY TREATING SURFACE WITH A SOLUTION OF ONE PART HOUSEHOLD BLEACH AND ONE PART WATER. WET THE WOOD THOROUGHLY WITH THIS SOLUTION, RINSE AND ALLOW TO DRY FOR 48 HOURS BEFORE APPLYING COATING.
SEALED WOOD: ANY PREVIOUSLY APPLIED FINISH MUST BE REMOVED BEFORE THIS PRODUCT CAN BE APPLIED.
WOOD MUST BE CLEAN, DRY, PROPERLY WEATHERED AND FREE OF ANY OTHER COATING. MAY BE APPLIED BY BRUSH, APPLICATOR PAD, PUMP UP SPRAYER OR AIRLESS SPRAYER. APPLY A LIBERAL AMOUNT OF COATING SO THE WOOD CAN ABSORB AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE. WET ON WET COATINGS WORK WELL BECAUSE THIS COATING PERFORMS BEST PENETRATING THE WOOD AND IS NOT DESIGNED TO FORM A FILM. ANY EXCESS MATERIAL MUST BE REMOVED BY BACK BRUSHING OR WIPING OFF.
